The original La Casita was opened by my Mom in 1990, in small coastal city Powell River, BC. She created a memorable setting and drew a big following by serving delicious, hand made food.

By 1995, she was ready to pass the business on. I re-opened the restaurant, added more dining space, and acquired a liquor license. It grew progressively over the years, but in 2002 it really took off.

In 2004, it was time for a new challenge… La Casita Gastown opened its doors! Well, the city did bring many new challenges. Yet, we have managed to keep going strong through it all thanks to our amazing customers.
